Dmitry Ufaev has led Bitfury’s Russia operations since March 2018. He is an experienced entrepreneur with more than twenty years of experience in technology and business. Prior to joining Bitfury, Dmitry managed the IT departments of several large Russian companies and served as a managing partner at RBK Group, where he was in charge of the development of IT systems for the RBK 500 companies. Dmitry previously worked for the Moscow Department of Transport as an information technology adviser. In this role, he supervised 150 systems of the transport technical system, including fare collection, traffic control, video surveillance, and parking control. Before joining the Department of Transport, Dmitry was the vice president of information technology at Synergy, a private university. While at Synergy University, he led the creation of Megacampus, a platform for distance learning, as well as a new system for automating business processes for educational institutions. During this time Dmitry, along with other partners, founded the Russian startup Biglion. He later sold his share in the business to launch several new projects in Silicon Valley.
Dmitry graduated from Rostov State Economic University with a degree in Economics and Law. He also completed an MBA program at Synergy University and a Blockchain Strategy program at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. Dmitry is a triathlete and a three-time Ironman finisher.
